SISU Thunderbirds Hockey Club Alumni
The SISU Thunderbird program is more than just a hockey team - it is a family. United by our passion for the sport, our players, coaches, and staff share a common vision: to empower our athletes to reach the pinnacle of their potential and achieve their dreams of playing at the highest levels of the sport. From the USPHL to the NA3HL, the NAHL, and beyond, we are here to provide the guidance, support, and opportunities our players need to truly shine.
Since our inception in 2019, we have proudly watched as 2 of our players joined ACHA club teams and 9 made the leap to USPHL Premier Junior Hockey. In the 2023-24 season, we celebrated a milestone as our first player, Reed Hinton, was drafted 79th overall in the NA3HL. We have no doubt that many more will follow in their footsteps.
Join us and carve out your own legacy with the SISU Thunderbirds.
USPHL ALUMNI
Thunderbirds Hockey Club is thrilled to announce that our standout player from the 18U SISU Thunderbirds last season, Reed Hinton, has been drafted as the 79th overall pick in the 2024 NA3HL Draft by the Yellowstone Quake.
We are equally excited to share that Reed Hinton has signed with the Columbus Mavericks for the upcoming 2024-25 United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) season. "Reed's journey from being a key player at SISU Thunderbirds to now joining the Columbus Mavericks is a testament to his hard work and dedication," said Tom Latvala, Head Coach of the SISU Thunderbirds 18U team. "His explosive speed and offensive skills will undoubtedly be a significant asset to the Mavericks as they gear up for the 2024-25 season."
