SISU Thunderbirds kick off NAPHL SHOW League in Blaine Minnesota at the Super Rink
The SISU Thunderbirds are ready for the NAPHL SHOW League season to get underway this week at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. From October 11th to 13th, this highly anticipated event will feature 60 teams across the 18U and 16U levels, marking the start of an exhilarating youth hockey season.
Last season, the SHOW League celebrated significant achievements, including two USA Hockey Tier II National Championships. The 18U SISU Thunderbirds finished as runners-up in the NAPHL Show Silver division and proudly saw their first NA3HL draft pick, along with two other players receiving tender offers.
"We are thrilled to kick off the season with such a prestigious event," said Tom Latvala, 18U Head Coach. "The SHOW League continues to be a vital platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and advance to higher levels of competition. We look forward to another successful season and the continued growth of our players."
The SHOW League has established itself as a significant force in the hockey community, providing a crucial platform for developing players. By showcasing their talents to junior and college hockey scouts, players gain enhanced opportunities to advance to competitive leagues such as the NAHL, NA3HL, and T1ER. This pathway not only underscores the league's effectiveness in player development but also highlights its commitment to helping athletes progress in their careers.
